Compaction Grouting

Compaction grouting is used to increase the stability of weak ground.  As more grout is pumped into the ground it compacts the soil around it stabilizing the area and leveling the ground.

Applications for Compaction Grouting include:

• Soil remediation (Pre-Construction and Post Construction)
• Lifting Structures
• Leveling: Roads, Bridges, Towers

• Foundation Repair
• Filling cracks in Rocks
• Sinkhole Repair and Sinkhole Remediation

Compaction grouting requires relatively small injection ports, causing minimal disruption and interruption to existing construction programs.
 

How is Compaction Grouting Performed?

1. Injection holes are drilled in a grid 8 to 10 feet apart across the area to be stabilized.
    
2. Casing is inserted.
    
3. Grout is pumped through the casing creating a bulb - compacting the soils around it.
    
4. The casing is slowly raised and more grout is pumped creating a series of bulbs.
    
5. Once the ground is level and ideal soil density has been reached the casing is withdrawn.
